Brightkeep is a wellness and engagement tool. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

If this is an emergency

If you or someone with you has sudden confusion, trouble speaking, weakness on one side, a severe headache, chest pain, a fall with injury, or thoughts of self-harm, stop using the app and call your local emergency number immediately.

What our exercises measure

Brightkeep exercises are engagement activities inspired by cognitive-training research. They are not validated clinical assessments. Your scores can move up or down for many everyday reasons — sleep, stress, medication, glasses, lighting, noise, a slippery touchscreen, or simply the mood you are in.

  • Scores compare you only to your own past results. We never rank you against other people.
  • A lower score is not evidence of decline, and a higher score is not evidence of improvement in daily life.
  • No score, chart, streak, or summary in Brightkeep should ever be read as a diagnosis or a risk estimate.

Evidence and expectations

Independent research on brain-training apps is mixed. People usually get better at the tasks they practise; whether that carries over into everyday memory and thinking is still debated. What is far better supported is the whole picture we also encourage in the app: physical activity, sleep, social connection, hearing care, managing blood pressure, and staying mentally engaged. We would rather be honest with you than oversell.

The doctor summary

The 90-day summary is a convenience: a tidy printout of what you did inside Brightkeep. It is a conversation starter for an appointment, not a clinical report, and your clinician is under no obligation to use it.

Keeper, our AI companion

Keeper is an artificial-intelligence assistant. It is not a person, a clinician, or a counsellor, and it can be wrong. Please treat everything it says as general information only.

  • Keeper will never diagnose a condition or comment on your medication.
  • Answers in "Look it up" mode are researched from public sources and shown with links, so you can check them yourself.
  • Do not share information with Keeper that you would not want processed by an AI provider. See our Privacy Policy for details on how that works.

Talk to your clinician

Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health provider with any questions about a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or saw in Brightkeep.

Regulatory status

Brightkeep has not been evaluated or cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the UK MHRA, the EMA, or any other regulator, and it is not CE marked as a medical device. It is offered as general wellness software.
